Tour Details

Discover rural Bali on a downhill cycling tour with breakfast and lunch. Learn about the cultures and traditions in Bali as you traverse the lush landscapes, from jungles to rice terraces. This bike tour takes you away from the usual tourist itinerary and off the beaten path to the Balinese countryside Beside Orange Plantation where you will see the ancient customs and traditions of the Balinese people. The tour will begin when you are transferred from your accommodation in an air-conditioned van and driven to Ubud for breakfast.

Afterwards enjoy a journey through the beautiful Balinese countryside where you will see spectacular views. Drive through 100 hectares of coffee and orange forest and see local people at work, and farmers tending rice fields on the way. The trip includes a visit to the Balinese Traditional House where the gates of people’s houses are almost the same and all similar, very unique to be explored by foreign tourists who go to Bali. As you drive through ancient, timeless villages, you will see many primary schools in Bali and hear greetings from local villagers. and continue the journey to an antique ancient temple. Enter the temple area and if there is a ceremony taking place, you will be invited to witness this colorful event while the guide will explain to you the importance of this ritual for Balinese people, especially Hindus.

After that, continue on a short journey through the rice fields to see the villagers planting and harvesting rice and even if you lucky you can join in and you can try planting and harvesting rice, on the way where you can see a variety of exotic fruits, spices and vegetables for sale. in our local market. Once the bike tour is over, sit down for lunch at a lovely local restaurant. The driver will take you back to your hotel stay.

Itinerary

12.00pm – 12.30pm We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Ubud and drive you to the Kintamani highlands to start your cycling adventure.

Before we start cycling, we will stop at a Balinese house where you can enjoy a simple Balinese snack and coffee at a local home before the tour begins. It’s a nice way to start the day and learn a little about Balinese daily life.

Next, we’ll visit a local coffee plantation where you can try different types of coffee and tea, including the famous Luwak coffee. You’ll also see how the coffee is made.

Our cycling tour starts in the cool highlands of Kintamani. The road goes mostly downhill, so it’s easy and fun for everyone. The view is amazing near orange plantations.

We’ll stop at a great spot where you can see Mount Batur and Lake Batur from a distance. Take some beautiful photos to remember your trip.

We’ll stop at a small elementary school to see how Balinese kids go to school. You’ll see how cheerful and friendly they are.

Next, we visit a traditional Balinese home. Your guide will explain how Balinese families live together and how the house is arranged.

We continue cycling through small village roads, passing rice fields, farms, and local houses. This is the real Bali — peaceful and full of natural beauty

We’ll stop at a Balinese temple where you can take photos and learn about the temple’s role in local culture. We only view the temple from outside as a sign of respect.

Your guide will show you the rice terraces and explain how Balinese farmers use the subak system to water their fields. It’s simple but smart, and still used today.

After the ride, we enjoy a Balinese lunch (Nasi Campur) served at a quiet local house. Take your time, relax, and enjoy the meal after a fun morning.

After lunch, we will take you back to your hotel in an air-conditioned car. If you need a baby seat, we can prepare it for you with no extra charge. Baby seat available upon request.
